Kurdish is one of the largest languages in the Middle East, and Kurmanji (Latin alphabet) is the most widely spoken dialect, used by tens of millions of people in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Europe, and beyond.
Currently, Windows only provides support for Central Kurdish (Sorani, Perso-Arabic script). However, there is no option for Kurmanci in Latin script, which creates serious difficulties for users:
Adding Kurmanci (Latin) language pack and keyboard layout would not only improve accessibility but also show Microsoft’s commitment to diversity and language rights. For millions of Kurmanci speakers worldwide, this would remove a long-standing limitation and solve a real daily problem.
We kindly ask Microsoft to consider this request and include Kurdish Kurmanci (Latin) in the next Windows language updates.
