To correct the contact number on the replacement request for a Surface Laptop submitted via Surface Management Portal, update the contact details on the support/service request and, if needed, contact Microsoft support:
- Go to the Surface Management Portal in Microsoft Intune.
- Open the existing support or service request that IT created for the replacement.
- In the Details or Contact details section of the request, edit the contact phone number so it is correct.
- Review the summary of the request and submit/save the changes so the updated number is stored with the case.
- If the device replacement was created as a Service order, IT can open the Service orders tab, select the relevant service request, and verify/update the contact and shipping details there.
- If the request has already been submitted and the portal does not allow editing, track the case in the Surface Management Portal (for example, via View all support requests) and use the Case ID when contacting Microsoft Customer Service so they can update the contact number on the case.
- If direct assistance from Microsoft is required, IT or the affected user can use the customer support options described under Home Users or Business Users, including the Get Help experience or the Surface business support contact options.
