I have tried so many solutions and none of them have worked. If i scream really loudly i can be heard very slightly. If i talk in discord or record in obs my voice is normal and when i check how loud it is in settings its also fine. But in any games nobody hears me unless i get really loud. I have tried alot of the solutions so dont come saying something like "make sure its the default device or change hz rate" it doesnt work.

    Welcome olle andersson,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your microphone works correctly in apps like Discord and OBS, but your voice is extremely quiet or almost unheard in games on Windows 11, even though input levels look normal in Windows settings.

So I can help you faster, could you please confirm the following information:

    • Does this happen in all games or only specific ones?
    • Is your microphone USB, headset, or connected via an audio jack (3.5 mm)?

In the meantime, you can try the workaround steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Option 1: Check Windows per‑app microphone volume

    • Open Settings > System > Sound
    • Scroll down and select Volume mixer
    • Under Apps, make sure the game’s microphone input volume is set to 100 and not reduced compared to other apps

Option 2: Disable communication volume lowering

    • Open Control Panel from the Start menu > Sound
    • Select the Communications tab
    • Choose Do nothing, then apply the change

Option 3: Turn off microphone audio enhancements

    • Open Settings > System > Sound
    • Select your microphone under Input
    • Turn off Audio enhancements and set Input mode to Standard if available

Option 4: Disable exclusive control for the microphone

    • Open Control Panel from the Start menu
    • Go to Sound > the Recording tab
    • Open your microphone properties
    • Under the Advanced tab, uncheck both exclusive mode options, then apply

Option 5: Restart Windows Audio services

    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc
    • Restart Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.
