A fully managed platform in Microsoft Foundry for hosting, scaling, and securing AI agents built with any supported framework or model
Hello @Hyokyoung Park
Thank you for pointing that out.
You are correct the official Azure AI Foundry documentation states that “this list will be updated as additional regions become available.” This means Hosted Agent support is being expanded over time.
To clarify:
The official documentation is the authoritative source for the current list of supported regions for Hosted Agents.
The regions listed there represent the locations where Hosted Agents are fully supported today.
The Microsoft Q&A response may reference a broader set of regions that support other Azure AI Foundry agent capabilities, or regions that are planned for future rollout.
Because regional support is evolving, some community or Q&A responses may reflect earlier announcements, broader agent feature availability, or upcoming expansions that are not yet generally available for Hosted Agents.
Recommendation
For production planning and deployment decisions, we strongly recommend relying on the official Hosted Agents regional availability documentation:
If a region is not currently listed in the documentation, Hosted Agents are not yet supported there. As Microsoft expands coverage, the documentation will be updated accordingly.
If you require Hosted Agents today, please create your Azure AI Foundry project in one of the regions currently listed in the official documentation.
I Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any further queries.
