How to change telephone number

Click the "Sign-in preferences" button located at the bottom to change your phone number.

To change the contact telephone number from a UK number to a Spanish number in Microsoft communication products, follow the steps for the specific app and use the correct international format.

For Skype (consumer):

1. Sign in to the Skype profile page: https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile.
2. Go to Contact details:
   • On desktop: scroll down to Contact details.
   • On mobile: tap the Contact details tab.
3. Select Edit Profile and locate the phone number field.
4. Enter the new Spanish number in international format. For Spain, this is +34 followed by the local number, using only digits (no spaces, parentheses, or hyphens).
5. Select Save.
6. Select Verify phone number and complete verification using the notification sent to the new number.

For Skype for Business / Lync-style numbers:

1. In the Skype for Business main window, select Tools > Options.
2. Select Phones.
3. Click the box for the number type (for example, Mobile or Work) and enter the Spanish number using only digits, in international format: +34 plus the local number.
4. Optionally select Include in my contact card to show it to contacts.

International format reminder (applies to Lync/Skype for Business and similar fields):

• Use + then the country code, then the local number.
• Do not use parentheses or hyphens.

If the phone number field is greyed out in Skype for Business, an administrator controls it and must change it.
