Hello Jess-Q,
So happy that you have viewed this case.
- When you select the message, is the entire thread row highlighted or just a single email?
The whole email thread goes to bin, when i delete one OOO automatic reply in Inbox.
- Could you provide a screenshot under Settings > Mail > Layout, what is currently selected for message organization (grouped or not grouped)?
- Is this conversation mainly between you and another person, or is it mostly just you sending replies (like OOO messages or meeting responses)?
Group conversation and/or meeting conversation, 5 - 150 recipients
- Should the expected behavior be that only the selected email is deleted and the rest of the conversation remains, even if you’re currently viewing the newest email in that thread?
I am not viewing emails in a thread. I have removed Grouping.
- Could you please share the step-by-step actions you take for this issue?
I delete single OOO email in Inbox.
I go to Bin.
There is the thread of emails, instead of one.
Modified screenshot attached, showing both cases, deleted OOO and deleted meeting invitation reply.
In Inbox, without threading, i see only individual emails. I delete OOO message.
In Bin, i see this. Screenshot from mobile Outlook, same happens in desktop version.
The workaround has been for me, that i save all needed knowledge to OneNote with Outlook's send to OneNote function.
Enjoy.
