May I know the reason why my past devices with or without warranty are not showing under warranty section?

    Hi Y.S. RANA,

I understand how concerning it is if your past Surface devices were not showing under the warranty/devices section. Before getting further, I’d like to reconfirm a few things to make sure that my understanding of the situation is correct:

    1. Were those Surfaces personal devices, or were they part of a work/school environment and listed in Management Portal?
    2. Did those devices show up in the list before but disappeared recently? or were they never manually registered?
    3. If they did disappear, was it after a repair/replacement, an upgrade, reset, … or happened randomly?
    4. Is there any device left? Were they all gone in one day, or one by one, or you’re not sure?

If the devices were personal and suddenly disappeared from your account, based on my personal experience, it’s usually due to service-sync issues. Other users have also reported similar cases where the device list fails to display or shows incomplete even though the device remains linked. Unfortunately, while there are some common troubleshooting steps that have worked for certain people, none have been confirmed as a universal fix. You can still try out:

    • Re-registering it: On the Devices page, select Register device and enter the Surface serial number.
    • Use the Surface app: It’s often built-in (if not, download from the Microsoft Store) > Open and check under Warranty & services.
    • If you can’t re-add it or you don’t have the serial: You may need to reach out to Microsoft Support to locate records using your details.

I wish I could give you a more definitive answer, but this is just a user-to-user support forum, with no access to Microsoft’s internal back-end systems for further verification. Contributors like us also rely on official documents, and since there’s no confirmation available, what I shared is merely personal experience.
