    Hi Gin Sosuke,

Please take Q&A Assist suggestions seriously, because unsafe applications can harm your system.

Even if you are sure it's safe, you should scan the file before running with online scanner such as VirusTotal.

Disclaimer: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate and safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

If you really want to run the application, you may add exclusions for Windows Defender following this guide: Add or Remove Exclusions for Microsoft Defender Antivirus in Windows 11.

I hope that above information is helpful to you.

Windows security features can block a download or a file even if a manual scan does not show a virus. This is by design to protect against potentially unsafe or unwanted software.

To proceed as safely as possible:

    1. Confirm the source is trustworthy
      • Only download Xeno from its official website or a source explicitly recommended by the developer.
      • If the site or file looks suspicious or was linked from an email or pop‑up, do not try to bypass the block.
    2. Check if the block is coming from the browser/Attachment Manager
      • If the browser shows messages like "download blocked" or "virus detected", this is often due to security settings or antivirus integration.
      • In Windows, Attachment Manager and Internet security settings can block downloads:
        1. Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, press Enter.
        2. Go to Security tab → select Internet zone → Custom level.
        3. Under DownloadsFile download, make sure Enable is selected.
        4. Under MiscellaneousLaunching applications and unsafe files, select Prompt (recommended).
        5. Click OK.
    3. If antivirus is blocking the file
      • Some downloads are blocked by antivirus even when Windows itself shows no virus.
      • If absolutely sure the file and source are safe, temporarily disable the antivirus real‑time scanning, download the file, then immediately re‑enable scanning. This is risky and should only be done if the source is fully trusted.
    4. If Windows flags it as unwanted or malicious software
      • Windows and Microsoft Edge can block files they classify as unwanted or potentially harmful, even if they are not classic “viruses.”
      • If the file is incorrectly flagged in Microsoft Edge, it can be reported as safe so Microsoft can review it. See the "Report a download you believe has been incorrectly flagged" section in the reference.
    5. If the file is already downloaded but blocked when opening
      • Some files from the internet carry a security marker (Mark of the Web) that can cause them to be treated as unsafe.
      • For a single file, right‑click → Properties → if there is an Unblock checkbox on the General tab, select it and click OK.
      • Only unblock if the file is from a trusted source.

If there is any doubt about the legitimacy of Xeno or the download source, do not bypass the block. Instead, remove the file and look for an official or better‑known alternative.
