    Hi Salam ELIAS,

In addition to the information shared above, you may notice that the number of these “_xxxx” services can fluctuate over time. For example, after multiple sign-ins or system activity, Windows may temporarily show more instances as part of how it initializes user sessions. This variation is expected and does not indicate an issue.

The GameDVR and Broadcast User Service can also appear even if you don’t actively use gaming features, as it is enabled by default in Windows. If you prefer to reduce background components, you can choose to disable this feature so new instances are no longer created.

For Agent Activation Runtime, it supports built-in assistant-related components, so it’s generally best to leave it enabled unless you are certain those features are not needed.

As a quick reassurance, you can verify these are legitimate system services by confirming they run from C:\Windows\System32, which indicates they are part of normal Windows functionality.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or need further help, I'm happy to assist.

Agent Activation Runtime (AarSvc) and GameDVR and Broadcast User Service (BcastDVRUserService) are per‑user services. Windows creates a separate instance of each per‑user service for every user session, based on a template service defined in the registry. When a user signs out, those per‑user instances are stopped and deleted.

In Services.msc, these instances appear with suffixes such as _14813f55 because they are derived from the template service (for example, AarSvc) and are tied to specific user sessions. Seeing many of them usually means there have been multiple user sessions or sign‑ins; it is normal behavior in current Windows 10/11 builds.

To control or remove them, manage the template services rather than the individual suffixed instances:

    1. Agent Activation Runtime (AarSvc)
      • This service is marked as “Don’t disable” because it is the runtime for activating conversational agent applications.
      • Disabling the template service can break dependent apps, so it should be left enabled.
    2. GameDVR and Broadcast User Service (BcastDVRUserService)
      • This per‑user service is used for game recordings and live broadcasts.
      • It is documented as “OK to disable” and is commonly disabled in optimized or non‑gaming environments.
      • To prevent new per‑user instances from appearing, disable the template service (for example via standard service‑management tools or optimization guidance). Once disabled, Windows will no longer create new BcastDVRUserService_… instances for future sessions.

Existing per‑user instances will disappear automatically as their associated user sessions end; there is no need to delete them manually.
