Additional Microsoft Defender tools and services that provide security across various platforms and environments
Trojan:Win32/SparkonSoft!AMTB is a trojan. Residual files and persistence entries can remain even after initial detection.
To remove residual components, use Microsoft’s malware tools and general trojan-removal practices:
- Run Microsoft Defender Antivirus
- Ensure real-time protection and cloud-delivered protection are enabled.
- Run a Full scan, then a Microsoft Defender Offline scan if available. This helps detect and remove trojan components that may still be present.

- General trojan cleanup practices
- Trojans can:
- Download and install other malware.
- Record keystrokes and websites visited.
- Send passwords and other data to attackers.
