    Hello

Does this happen with Edge only? If that's the case, put this in the address bar to launch the settings, and make sure you don't have the microphone turned off

    edge://settings/privacy/sitePermissions/allPermissions/microphone

You want to turn on "ask first"

To enable microphone access for Edge on Windows 11, configure both Windows privacy settings and Edge site permissions.

    1. Check Windows microphone privacy settings
      1. Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
      2. Turn on Microphone access.
      3. Turn on Let apps access your microphone.
      4. If using any Microsoft Store apps in Edge (for example, when they open links), make sure their individual toggles are also turned on.
      5. Turn on Let desktop apps access your microphone so desktop applications (including Edge) can use it.
    2. Allow microphone use for the specific site in Edge
      1. In Edge, go to the website where microphone access is needed.
      2. If a prompt appears asking to use the microphone, choose Allow.
      3. If the site was previously blocked:
        • Select the lock icon in the address bar.
        • Change the Microphone permission to Allow.
    3. Check Edge’s global microphone permissions
      1. In Edge, select Settings and more (⋯) > Settings.
      2. Select Privacy, search, and services > Site permissions > Microphone.
      3. Under Customised behaviours, make sure the site is not listed under Not allowed to use your microphone. If it is, remove it from the block list.
      4. Try the site again; when prompted, select Allow.

If using Microsoft 365 on the web (for example, Dictation in Word/OneNote online) and seeing messages like Problem with Dictation or No Microphone Permission, also verify in Edge’s microphone settings (edge://settings/content/microphone) that the relevant Microsoft 365 domain (such as Office.com) is listed under Allow.
