Hi!

I have successfully installed the April 2026 Preview Update (KB5083631), which moves my system to Build 26200.8328. According to the official release notes, this build introduces the new "Xbox Mode" for Windows 11 PCs. However, the feature is completely absent from my device.

I've already done the following:

1.) I have navigated to Settings > Gaming, but the "Xbox Mode" toggle does not appear.

2.) The Win + F11 shortcut does not trigger any response (I have confirmed my Windows key is active and functional).
3.) The Xbox App and Gaming Services are fully updated via the Microsoft Store.

4.) The Xbox Game Bar is enabled and functioning correctly.

5.) I have toggled "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available" to On and restarted the device multiple times.

Can you confirm if my device is currently excluded from the Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) for Xbox Mode? If the code is already present on my machine (as indicated by the build number), is there a specific configuration update or registry key required to manifest the "Xbox Mode" menu in Settings?

    Hi Marvel_Mike,

Thank you for the detailed information and for taking the time to perform those checks.

Based on your description, this behavior is expected with the April 2026 Preview Update (KB5083631). Although Xbox Mode is included in build 26200.8328, it is being released through a Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR). This means the feature exists on your device but may remain hidden until it is enabled for your specific configuration.

Microsoft delivers this update in phases, meaning features may not appear on all devices at the same time, even on the same build, as outlined in the official release notes: User's image

At this time, there isn’t any official supported configuration or registry method to enable Xbox Mode manually so should appear automatically once your device is included in a later rollout phase.

For now, I recommend keeping your system up to date and allowing time for the rollout to complete. This does not indicate any issue with your device.

I hope this helps clarify the situation.

Please feel free to share any updates or let me know if you have further questions. I’ll be happy to assist.
