Unable to download Microsoft Edge consumer installer (C2R / OfficeApps Live outage)

I am unable to download the Microsoft Edge consumer installer. All official download links redirect to an outage page from officeapps.live.com showing “Service Unavailable”. This happens in every browser and also fails through PowerShell.

It appears that the C2R / OfficeApps Live backend is currently down, preventing the generation of the Edge consumer installer.

Could you please confirm the outage and provide a working download method for the full consumer installer?

I require the full consumer installer (with EdgeUpdate, COM registration, services, and scheduled tasks). At the moment, it is impossible to obtain it through any supported method.

Please investigate this outage and provide a functional download path.

    Hi MSH™ ®,

    As a quick check, you may try opening the Edge download link in a clean boot environment to rule out any interference from third-party applications or services.

    To do this, press Windows + R, type msconfig and press Enter. In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services then click Disable all. Next, go to the Startup tab and open Task Manager, then disable all startup items. Restart your device and try the download again.
