    Hi Anthea Ramos

From your description, I understand how stressful it is to see your Inbox suddenly emptied.

Have you tried the Q&A Assist steps under your post? If yes, could you please confirm:

    • When you checked the recovery options, were some emails recoverable while others were missing, or did nothing appear in the recovery list?

    What to check next:

1, If some emails are missing from Deleted Items, please check recovery directly from the server:

    • Sign in to Outlook.com in a browser (not just Outlook desktop)
    • Open the Deleted Items folder
    • Select "Recover items deleted from this folder" at the top
    • Look specifically for emails from the timeframe when the Inbox was emptied

2, Search across all folders (in case emails were moved, not deleted)

    • Double-check all folders (Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive), ensure your inbox filter is set to All (not “Unread” or another filter).
    • In the search box, try searching by sender or subject you remember
    • Check Focused / Other tab (if Focused Inbox is enabled), emails may land in Other. You can also temporarily turn Focused Inbox off to test.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes. I truly appreciate your time and understanding.

Use the Deleted Items and Recoverable Items features to restore as much as possible.

    1. Check Deleted Items and Junk Email
      1. In Outlook (classic for Windows), open the Deleted Items folder.
      2. Look for the missing messages. If found, move them back:
        • Right‑click the message → Move → choose Inbox (or another folder), or drag and drop.
      3. Also check the Junk Email folder and move any valid messages back to Inbox.
    2. Recover items removed from Deleted Items (Recoverable Items) If some messages are no longer in Deleted Items, they may still be in the Recoverable Items folder (server-side recovery):
      1. In Outlook on the web or Outlook.com (using a PC or Mac browser), in the left pane select the Deleted Items folder.
      2. At the top of the message list, select Recover items deleted from this folder.
      3. In the Recoverable Items view, select the messages to restore and choose Restore.
        • Ctrl+Click selects individual messages; Shift+Click selects a range.
      4. Restored items go back to their original folders when possible; if the original folder no longer exists, messages go to Inbox.
      Notes from the service:
      • Email is automatically deleted from Deleted Items after 30 days.
      • Items removed from Deleted Items are recoverable for 30 days.
      • If the messages do not appear in Recoverable Items, they have likely been permanently removed and cannot be restored via Outlook.
    3. If using Outlook.com/consumer Microsoft account
      • Also verify the Deleted Items folder in Outlook.com directly:
        • If the message is there, select it and choose Restore.
        • If not visible, use Recover items deleted from this folder as above.

If none of the missing emails appear in Deleted Items, Junk Email, or Recoverable Items, they are no longer recoverable using the built‑in Outlook recovery features.
