Business value

This feature enhances security by allowing you to use certificates stored in Azure Key Vault to connect to Windows sessions on desktop flow machines. Certificate-based authentication credentials can meet multifactor authentication (MFA) requirements.

Feature details

  1. Create a credential:

    • Credentials in Power Automate now support certificate-based authentication (CBA).
    • The experience with CBA credentials mirrors the experience of using passwords stored in Azure Key Vault.
    • The credential doesn't store any certificate value.
  2. Use credentials with CBA:

    • CBA supports Windows session credentials for desktop flow connections.
