Business value
Environment groups let you configure settings for multiple environments at the same time. When you enforce these rules, environment administrators can't change the settings that the central IT team sets through environment groups. This approach keeps central IT policies consistent.
Feature details
New rules for environment groups give tenant administrators an efficient way to apply and enforce important environment-level settings across multiple environments. In this release, you can manage key settings within environment groups, including:
- Allow or deny Copilot Bing search.
- Allow or deny Copilot cross-geo data processing.
- Allow or deny unmanaged customizations.
- Allow or deny publishing canvas apps with code components.
When you enforce these rules, environment administrators and users with lower privileges can't change them. This setup keeps central IT policies consistent.
We continue to introduce more rules. Eventually, you'll have comprehensive control over key aspects of the Power Platform, especially for Copilot. With this control, IT can deploy and adopt Copilot across the organization at a pace that works for them.
