Im folgenden Beispiel werden zwei Enumerationstypen SledDog und WorkDog. Die SledDog Aufzählung weist zwei Member auf und SledDog.AlaskanMalamuteSledDog.Malamuteweist denselben zugrunde liegenden Wert auf. Der Aufruf der Equals Methode gibt an, dass diese Werte gleich sind, da ihre zugrunde liegenden Werte identisch sind. Die Elemente und SledDog.Malamute Elemente WorkDog.Newfoundland weisen denselben zugrunde liegenden Wert auf, obwohl sie unterschiedliche Enumerationstypen darstellen. Ein Aufruf der Equals Methode gibt an, dass diese Werte nicht gleich sind.
