Om fromBase är 16 kan du prefixa det nummer som anges av parametern value med "0x" eller "0X".
Eftersom det negativa tecknet inte stöds för icke-grundläggande 10 numeriska representationer förutsätter ToSByte(String, Int32) metoden att negativa tal använder tvås komplementrepresentation. Med andra ord tolkar metoden alltid högordningsbiten av en byte (bit 7) som dess teckenbit. Därför är det möjligt att skriva kod där ett icke-basnummer på 10 som ligger utom datatypens intervall SByte konverteras till ett SByte värde utan att metoden utlöser ett undantag. I följande exempel konverteras MaxValue till dess hexadecimala strängrepresentation och anropar ToSByte(String, Int32) sedan metoden. Returer
value, avrundat till närmaste 8-bitars signerade heltal. Om value är halvvägs mellan två heltal returneras det jämna talet. 4,5 konverteras till 4 och 5,5 konverteras till 6.
